The company was founded in 1997 by Hal Jones Jr. and six other experienced construction managers with over 200 years of collective experience in heavy construction. In early 2018, the company became part of Vecellio & Grogan. Hal Jones Contractor is proud of its experienced work force of superintendents, foremen, equipment operators, and heavy construction workers.

The company serves both governmental and private clients. We have performed work for Jacksonville Port Authority, City of Jacksonville, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), US Navy, US Coast Guard, and several private developers. Hal Jones Contractor prides itself with its well maintained equipment fleet with cranes up to 275 tons, barges up to 150' long and 55' wide, and pile hammers up to 88,000 ft lbs. With its wide range of equipment, Hal Jones Contractor can satisfy your heavy construction needs on land or water.
